Rob Behringer is a character that appears in the film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
Biography[]
In 2013, Rob Behringer was the boss of Jack Ryan at a private bank on Wall Street. Unbeknownst to Behringer, Ryan is a covert CIA analyst tasked with auditing suspicious financial transactions that indicate terrorist activity. One day, Ryan discovers that billions of dollars possessed by Russian organizations have disappeared. The majority of these funds belong to a Russian businessman named Viktor Cherevin who has also made a partnership deal with the bank. Ryan later informs Behringer of the hidden accounts. Ryan then asks for Behringer to let him travel to Moscow to audit Cherevin's finances. Behringer approves but advises Ryan to be careful not to ruin the bank's partnership deal with Cherevin as well as the dangers of Russia itself.
A few days later, Ryan infiltrated Cherevin's offices in Moscow. Ryan calls Ted Hefferman to connect him with Behringer who gives him his partner-level ABA dodge code in order to access Cherevin's critical corruption file on his hard drive. Upon reviewing Cherevin's files, Ryan discovers that he intends to stage a terrorist attack in the United States and then use the hidden accounts to cripple the world economy.
