Marvin Russell is a character that appears in the novel, The Sum of All Fears.
Biography[]
Along with his brother, Marvin Russell, he had a history of juvenile delinquency while living with their impoverished family at a reservation in Minnesota and spent a year in prison. John and his associate William Ames were later involved in a botched FBI operation. Both men were subsequently killed during their last stand against the FBI. John's death was the final straw for his brother who traveled to Europe to connect with international terrorists.
