Bob Holtzman is a character that appears in several Tom Clancy novels.
The Sum of All Fears
In 1991, Holtzman was assigned as the Senior White House correspondent for The Washington Post. He was later approached by National Security Advisor Elizabeth Elliot who discreetly leaked false accusation that DDCI Jack Ryan was suspected of financial and marital improprieties. Holtzman then published this information, effectively ruining Ryan's reputation and straining his marriage. Holtzman was later confronted by John Clark and informed that Elliot's information was false. Holtzman then worked to expose Elliot's role in the scandal.
Holtzman continued to work as the The Washington Post's Senior White House correspondent in 1996.
