Andrei Amalric is a character that appears in the film, The Hunt for Red October. He is an officer aboard a Russian Bear Foxtrot bomber that is hunting for the Red October. On command from the bomber's captain, Amalric launches a sonar buoy which attempts to locate and destroy the submarine.
