Abbas al-Fathi was one of the characters from Amazon's new series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. Uncle to Hanin, he is much more sympathetic to her and his children than Mousa bin Suleiman. He helps her escape from Syria.
In revenge for his assistance, Mousa orders him to go and capture Hanin. While remaining loyal to her, Yazid shoots him and he dies in the village.
